Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father who plays hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was birthed in Minsk on 5 May 1998. Aryna is the holder of 12 WTA Singles titles, one of which was crowned "Grand Slam" in the Australian Open 2023. The doubles play she plays is superb, and she won Majors at her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both with Elise Mertens. Then she also won the Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open along with Elise and Mertens. Only four teams in women's Doubles were able to accomplish it. World singles rankings rose up to the top spot in January 2023. She rose to the top of the doubles rankings in the following year, after taking the title the doubles title in Melbourne. This made her the only Belarusian tennis player to achieve success in the field. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) was her coach for a portion of the season in 2019 in 2018 and through the closing. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann between August and September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach from 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
